JOB TITLE: Operations Coordinator REPORTS TO: Director of Clinical / Ancillary Services FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt JOB OVERVIEW: Under the supervision of the Director, this position is responsible for support and coordination of daily operations by providing clinical managers, physicians and staff with the required resources to meet patient needs and the operational objectives of the organization. Responsible for research, proposal, design, implementation, and monitoring of key processes and technologies that impact patient care and satisfaction, workflow efficiencies and staff/clinician productivity. This position exists to support the overall operational effectiveness of physician practices and ancillaries. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
1. Research, propose and coordinate operational projects, set meetings and ensure project completion and follow-up evaluation, including statistical data gathering and productivity analysis.
2. Oversee daily staffing and modify assignments to meet the needs of all practices and ancillaries in the most cost effective manner.
3. Represent operations in new employee orientation.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information 2. Document work processes as required. 3. Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. BA/BS desired with an emphasis in organizational development, project management or related field.
Experience: Demonstrated leadership ability required. Three years in a hospital and/or Medical Group organization with demonstrated physician practice operations, systems re-design and/or practice analysis experience preferred. Experience in developing, implementing and monitoring new programs, processes and practice support systems.
Skills: 1. Ability to provide team leadership and build effective work teams. 2. Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

3. Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation. 4. Ability to communicate effectively in the English language in person, by phone and in writing. 5. Adhere to all policies and procedures, including standards for safety, attendance, punctuality and personal appearance. 6. Physical Requirements: Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone. Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone. Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens. Other: Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, squatting and sitting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift. Requires manual dexterity to operate equipment and perform manual responsibilities.
