JOB TITLE:                 E H R Implementation Specialist/ E H R Specialist     

REPORTS TO:             Director of Clinical / Ancillary Services                       

FLSA STATUS:            Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:      

Within the team of E H R Specialists and under the supervision of the Director, this position is responsible for the comprehensive implementation and ongoing end user support of the Sage Intergy Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Practice Management systems.   

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

 

  1. Design, create and execute a comprehensive orientation and training program prior to implementation for clinical, non-clinical employees and providers on the Sage Intergy Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Practice Management applications.
  2. Maintain, update and perform this orientation and training on an ongoing basis for new employees/providers, in response to service updates, upgrades and all software changes.
  3. Perform system builds and maintain end user securities
  4. Be the first point of contact for application support to end users, evaluate and escalate as needed    
  5. Analyze workflow, create, modify and maintain Physician encounter note templates

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  2. Document work processes as required.
  3. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education:     

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field

Experience:   

  1. 5 years as a Licensed Nurse and/or IT Specialist in the physician office/clinic environment
  2. Training in a classroom setting
  3. Medical office workflow design and redesign

 

Skills:             

  1. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, PC skills, networks, interfaces, operating systems and medical software applications  
  2. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  3. Assess complex situations, seek collaborative solutions, prepare, present and execute recommendations.
  4. A high degree of personal organizational and strong analytical thought processes
  5. Ability to lead, follow, and work well across all aspects of the cooperation, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  6. Ability to work independently and with a high degree of personal initiative and judgment.

  2. Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively in the English language in person, by phone and in writing.
  4. Adhere to all policies and procedures, including standards for safety, attendance, punctuality and personal appearance.
  5. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and peers.

 

Physical Requirements:

Hearing:  Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone.

Speaking:  Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone.

Vision:  Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.                

Other:  Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, squatting and sitting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.  Requires manual dexterity to operate equipment and perform manual responsibilities.
