JOB TITLE: Supply Clerk/Courier
REPORTS TO: Purchasing Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible for delivering, picking up and distributing supplies and confidential information to assigned destinations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

1. Drive courier van in performance of job duties.
2. Pick-up and deliver mail, supplies and materials, including biohazard materials, to appropriate destinations.
3. Sort and deliver mail for entire clinic.
4. Assist with stockroom replenishment as required. Input into computer and fill requisitions for all locations and prepare for courier runs or deliver.
5. Receive and check in incoming supplies, check in by packing slip and appropriately store.
6. Handle, package and ship using a variety of carriers, i.e. UPS, Fed Ex, etc.
7. Maintain The Doctors Clinic supplies including medical, office, printing and miscellaneous.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Run errands for clinic as requested; i.e. bank runs, office and meeting supplies.
2. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with TDC staff, outside vendors and the public.
3. Work as a team member within the purchasing department and all other departments.
4. Document work processes as required.
5. Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification/Licensure:
1. Valid Washington State driver’s license without restrictions.
2. Proof of automobile liability insurance required at hire and semi-annually thereafter.
Experience: None required.

Skills:
1. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
2. Familiarity with computers and other office equipment.
3. Ability to meet deadlines and be punctual in keeping schedules.
4. Knowledge of transportation routes within the community.
5. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Other Requirements:
1. Ability to prioritize responsibilities.
2. Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively.
3. Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation.
4. Ability to communicate effectively in the English language in person, by phone and in writing.
5. Must have no more than one (1) moving traffic violation for the preceding two years.
6. Must be bondable.
7. Requires adherence to all policies and procedures, including standards for safety, attendance, punctuality and personal appearance.
8. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and peers.

Physical Requirements:
Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone.
Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone.
Vision: Correctable to 20/20, full range of vision and absence of medical or legal restrictions or impairments prohibiting the holding of a valid driver’s license. Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
Other: Requires long periods of sitting while driving. Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted. Using a lift device, must occasionally be able to life weights in excess of 100 pounds. Must be able to move large quantities of supplies with handtrucks. Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.
