Overview
Oncology is the branch of medicine dealing with cancer, and a physician who specializes in cancer treatment is called an Oncologist. Cancer is a general term for the abnormal growth of cells, the common denominator in more than 200 different diseases. The physician creates a treatment plan utilizing surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and biological therapy that is specific to each patient; some of this care is administered in our Infusion Suite at Cavalon Place.
